I must admit, I am a big James Bond fan. I have seen all James Bond movies till date (actually I have a personal copy of each of those films), and as my friend says, 007 shows all that we are not and thatz why I like him so much. Any way, though I like the movies, mannerisms of all the Bonds from Sean Conney to Daniel Craig..... (though i didn't like Timothy Dalton); I must admit I never liked the themes of the movies, mostly fighting a non existent organization or the soviets or the public itself. Especially 'World is not enough' where Bond is no more than a street thugh Govt sponsored to steal oil from old soviet country.
And that is where 'Quantum of Solace' stands out. A plot where CIA is not the Big Daddy of MI6, actually here the CIA and US are villans ......... what a marvellos transition .......... and the Bond works for public good ........... ohhh my God I cant believe it ....... even the British Govt is potrayed as Villans ready do any bullshit for oil..... Maybe the world has come to a stage where no one believes the US and UK anymore ...... not even their own public ........ funny that the Movie now projects the world view rather than the views of the world police .... More interestingly it is the first time that the female lead has a real serious role and a charecter distinct from Bond......
and the funniest thing about the movie is that it wasreleased in India and UK before US.......

The Great Truth of Food Costs and Food Waste
Last week Public in China and India were subjected to abject humiliation in the hands of US Secretary of State Ms Rice and the all powerful President Bush on issues of rise of price of Oil (which is by the way dispensable) and more importantly of Food (indispensable not only to humans but also to animal and even plants). And quick to jump into the bandwagon like rest of what they have done all of last century were the esteemed members of the European Union.
Today I happened to read two articles, published not by the Asian media, but by the media houses of the west which totally contradicts what their governments talked about. Unlike the Illiterate and seemingly dumb witted top brass of the governments, these two articles are the result of much research and study. The western governments would do well to put their houses in order before continuing to police around the rest of the world.

The Story Every Indian should read.........
We find everyday news about every piece of junk in this country being splashed across the newspaper from the on field crying of a cricket superstar to the color of the bikini of bollywood superstar, but seldom do we find something that inspires us to do something.......to make a difference to others living around you.
In life there are few things that when comes to you, overwhelms you, makes you ask the question ' What have you done ?' and 'What is the need and meaning of your life ?'
Well here are the links to a few of them, that I have been following for quiet some time now
http://www.rediff.com/money/2006/aug/31spec.htm
http://specials.rediff.com/money/2008/apr/29sarath1.htm
I feel ashamed of myself, of what I have done with my life till now working for myself and myself alone, not even making proper friends or sharing anything with anybody after reading this.
I have been helping people out now for quiet some time in my own way, but this story really inspires me to do more, maybe I can and I will.......
